TEN YEARS AGO: Snowvember 2010 brings 3.5inches of snow in four days (plus 32 reports of ‘inappropriate’ snowball throwing)
Boston weatherman Albert Kirkham reported three-and-a-half inches of snow falling in the town in the final four days of November – an unusual sight for the month, he said, with no substantial snowfall recorded in at least the previous 10 years.
On one of those days, he added, the temperature did not rise above freezing point.

Hide AdThe wintry weather caused havoc on the roads, with 16 incidents reported to police in three days – mostly minor skids. In the same time, there were also 32 reports of snowballs being thrown at ‘inappropriate targets’.
Eight schools were forced to close on the Tuesday of that week following snowfall overnight, largely in outlying villages.
