Picture special: Colourful change for family enclosure
Flower beds designed and planted by school children from the villages around the town were unveiled at the racecourse’s family day on Sunday.
The Family Enclosure was also formally renamed the Lawn Enclosure.

Hide AdPupils from De Aston, Middle Rasen, Legsby, Osgodby and Tealby Schools were all involved in the project, which included the planting of a time capsule.
“The new Lawn Enclosure celebrates all that is good for families on our race-days, showcasing top quality racing combined with high quality children’s entertainment,” said Nadia Gollings, General Manager at the racecourse,
“Market Rasen Racecourse is very much part of its community and we are pleased to be giving something back to our customers who support us throughout the year.
As well as the schools, local businesses have been involved, with Jacksons Buildbase, Bathroom Desires, Peter Rhodes, Mole Valley, the Co-op and Tesco showing their support.
Robbie Parry, owner of Mill Farm Nursery in Middle Rasen, has also been offering advice to the young gardeners.
