Hardy and Burt win as pigeons return

After a two-month delay because of corona virus restrictions, and bad weather the pigeon racing season made a start on Saturday with a 100-mile race from Whitby.

Liberation was delayed until early afternoon because of poor visibility at the racepoint.

Winners of the Boston and District Flying club were the long-serving partnership of Hardy and Burt.

Results: 1 Hardy and Burt 1306 yards per minute, 2 L.R. Manning 1282.962, 3 4 and 5 D. Brackenbury 1282.283, 1280.418 and 1280.132, 6 and 7 Gough and Reed 1274 and 1269, 8 Mr and Mrs Garnham 1265, 9 Gough and Reed 1260, 10 Hardy and Burt 1256, 11 Mr and Mrs Garnham 1216, 12 Hardy and Burt 1215.
