Wednesday, 9.30am - THE stage is set for Boston's party of the year ... and you're all invited!
After its enforced break in 2007, Party in the Park is back with three days of music and much more to entertain the town.
Wristbands for the Party have already gone on sale and will be available to buy in Central Park throughout the event, from July 11-13.

The cost of admission is £2 for the whole weekend (under-14s £1 and under-fives free). A family ticket is also available at £5 for two adults and three children.

As ever, the mainstay of the three-day festival is the music, with almost 30 acts lined up, plus the Karaoke and Superstarz finals.
A huge range of different styles of music will be on offer – from rock to rap, soul to samba, folk to funk, big bands to blues, and more.

The main stage will be in use for the first time on a Friday night. Lined up are the BGS Jazz Band, Fortune, Convicted, Bourne Grammar School Soul Band and bill-toppers Unshaven.
Saturday kicks off early at 11am with three college bands, followed by Haven High Samba, Cool Tapes, Custom Made DJs, Brit Chix, The Pirates, Contraband, Evolution, Luminus, Lincolnshire Jazz and Rock Academy and Foy Vance – plus, during the afternoon, the Karaoke and Superstarz competition finals.

Sunday starts at noon with Abi Moore, Boston Operatics, Richard Palmer, Jason North Blues Band, CS Big Band, Dark to Light, The Idlers, Loose Rocket, The Rumble Band, 101 Proof, The Band From County Hell and the ever-popular Boston Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Alongside the music there are dozens of other attractions for Party-goers, not least a tasty selection of food stalls, from hot dogs and a hog roast to crepes and ice creams, with more exotic fare from India and Jamaica too.
To wash it down there will be Fairtrade tea and coffee plus a bar tent, run by Kirton's Black Bull, with 12 real ales and three ciders among the refreshments on offer.

For the kids – young and old – there will be fairground favourites such as the dodgems, gallopers, waltzer, ghost train, funhouse and inflatable slides to enjoy.
Boston New Life Fellowship will be running the Kidz Klub, offering arts and crafts including modelling, painting, crafty kits, bead work, mask making, face painting and lots of other fun.

Among the other sideshows and stalls, a merchandising stand will be making its first appearance with official Party teddies, rucksacks, glow sticks and more, plus some exclusive products from the bands.

Wristbands are available in advance from the Haven Gallery (10am-4.30pm) and Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex (7.30am-8pm), as well as in Central Park throughout the event.

For the best news, sport and leisure coverage in the area turn to the Boston Standard, out every Wednesday for just 42p.
