Tuesday, 1.45pm - BANDS from Boston and beyond will be going head to head in a fight for musical supremacy over the next two months.
Battle of the Bands is set to be staged at The Underground venue, based at the Ship Inn on Boston's London Road.
The first heat, on Friday, August 8, will pit Metropolosis against Cool Tapes.
The following Friday, August 15, sees the girl bands in action as Fortune take on Brit Chix (to be confirmed).
The action switches to Tuesdays on August 19, when Unsteady Overstear will be vying with 93 Degrees.
And on Tuesday, August 26, The Unhallowed are set to take on Rebel Troops.
More dates are being lined up through September, and entries are still being taken – call Mark on 01205 355523 to find out more.
The finals nights are also still to be arranged, with the eventual winners set to receive studio time, media coverage and a cash prize.

Meanwhile, there's plenty more happening below decks at the Ship.
On Friday (August 1) at The Underground, punk covers band Pretty Vacant are in action.
Saturday brings hardcore from Departed and Drowning In The Aftermath plus drum 'n' bass DJs.
Wednesday, August 6, sees an alternative club night with three DJs playing everything from ska and punk to hardcore and metal.
More live hardcore arrives on Thursday, August 7, with Rebel Troops, Coach Calhoon and more.
And on Saturday, August 9, it's nostalgia time at The Underground with a Nineties Dance Night.
For further information, call the venue on 01205 355523.
