06/08/08 - Sorry for staff
WHAT is happening at Boston's main Post Office?
Why, on a Wednesday (Market Day in Boston) at 11.45am were there only three counters open at Boston's main Post Office?
The queue was outside the door.
The very efficient but hot staff managed stoically. I was assured this staff shortage was not due to lunch breaks or sickness but to new management staffing policy.
Whoever thought up these manning levels is either thinking solely of their bonus, or is still using one of their parents to cash their birthday postal orders, because as sure as eggs are eggs they never venture into one of these time-wasting hell-holes.
