Thursday, 10:45 - YOU have the chance to get involved backstage in a pantomime, as well as many other professional shows in Boston.
Blackfriars Arts Centre is appealing for volunteers to help with some of the more physical work behind the scenes.

People are needed, in particular, to load and unload sets and scenery for its productions.

The Spain Lane theatre is also looking
for two sets of two volunteers to commit on a regular basis during the forthcoming pantomime run.

Theatre manager Mervyn Francis said: "It would be a glimpse inside the industry, if they wanted to pursue it professionally, and it's good fun too, particularly with the pantomime – fun for all the family."

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will run from December 15 to January 4.

Anyone interested should collect a volunteer form from the theatre's box office.

For those aged 12-20 interested in theatre production, the Blackfriars Theatre Academy launches on September 20. Enrolment is £15, with a fee of £10 for three hours of workshops each Saturday. Information: 01205 310537.

For those aged 8-11, the Boston Children's Theatre returns from September 9 for a performance in October. To join a small waiting list call 01775 820759.
