National Young Athletes' League

GOLDEN wonders! Boston and District Athletic Club clinched the Division Two title after a resounding victory at the final league match of the campaign.
This means they will now be promoted to Division One for the next campaign.
Competing at Scunthorpe's Quibell Park the Gold Tops beat Hull, host club Scunthorpe, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, Grimsby and Barton and District.
RESULTS: BADAC 462.5 points, Hull 361, Scunthorpe 330.5, DaSY 207.5, Grimsby 165, Barton 148.5.

Under 17 men

THE under 17 men made their presence felt on both the track and field. Richard Reed secured an excellent triple – winning the A 200m (23.8 secs), the A 400m (52.8 secs) and the A triple jump (10.94m).
Michael West won the B 400m (54.6 secs) and also finished first over 800m (2 mins 08.9 secs). He also took first place in the B hammer (15.31m).
Jeremy Baily won both the B 800m (2 mins 17.8 secs) and the shot (6.72m), also claiming second in the 1,500m (5 mins
18.4 secs).
Jake Brittain cleared a personal best 3.53m to win the A pole vault and crossed the finish line first in the A 100m hurdles (15.5 secs).
Stephan Brockett won the B pole vault (3.10m) and filled the same position in the B 100m hurdles (17.8 secs). His 11.69m leap in triple jump added second-place points.
Recording 61.7 secs for the 400m hurdles, Michael Robinson prevailed overall the opposition and added second in the high jump (1.60m).
In the throws, Haden Brittain achieved a treble with firsts in the hammer (39.84m, PB), the shot (10.03m) and the discus (26.17m).
Josh Goodfellow added a third in the B 200m (33.1 secs) and he also recorded 16.5 secs in the 100m. The 4x400m relay team claimed another victory and the 4x100m quartet came third.

Under 17 women

CHELSEA Brockett won two out of her three contests – coming first in the 300m hurdles
(49.5 secs) and the triple jump (9.18m). In the B pole vault she cleared 2.10m.
Steph Hendy won the hammer (37.15m) and the B javelin (12.28m) as well as claiming a second in the discus (18.95m).
Further firsts came courtesy of Mel Bristow in the 80m hurdles (14.3 secs) and the pole vault (2.40m) – she also added second in the javelin (24.85m).
Louise Rutt also enjoyed a successful day on the track.
She came first in the 1,500m
(5 mins 22.3 secs) and came second in the 800m (2 mins 37.7 secs). Amy Bristow was second the shot (6.30m) and she claimed a pair of B victories in the hammer (26.66m) and the triple jump (8.19m). The 4x100m relay team clocked the runners-up spot.

Under 15 boys

A SMALL contingent of athletes produced some good individual performances as well as the 4x400m team coming first.
Aidan McClure led the way with first places in the A 800m (2 mins 21.3 secs) and the javelin (20.29m). He then cleared 1.50m for third in the high jump.
Dominic Sykes won the hammer (25.71m) and added a third in the shot (9.66m). while Chris Corbett made a valuable contribution in the long jump and discus before finishing third in the B 200m (28.9 secs).
Nathan McClure had a good victory in the pole vault (2.30m) as well as claiming third in the 100m (13.9 secs).

Under 15 girls

ELLIS Whyler secured three wins in the 75m hurdles (12.0 secs), the 100m (13.1 secs) and the long jump (4.76m).
Wednesday Pywowariw made it a sprint hurdles maximum as she won the B race (12.6 secs). She also finished second in the B long jump (4.02m) and third in the 800m (2 mins 41.0 secs).
Sarah Stanhope threw 25.80m to win the javelin and added seconds in both the shot (7.60m) and the discus (25,05m).
Three third places from Alice Flint arrived in the 200m (30.08 secs), the 1,500m (5 mins 50.2 secs) and the high jump (1.25m).
Paige Mitchell contributed well in the B events, claiming firsts in the discus (14.95m) and the javelin (16.10m) and a second in the shot (5.81m). The 4x100m team came third.

Under 13 boys

A 1,500m victory came courtesy of Oliver Street (5 mins 19.2 secs) before he won the 75m hurdles (15.5 secs) and came second in the B long jump.
Adam Bevan followed his teammate over the finish line in the 1,500m (6 mins 06.8 secs) and the 75m hurdles (16.1 secs).
Oliver Smith was second in both the 100m (14.4 secs) and the 200m (29.5 secs).
Anthony Sandall won the B 200m (33.5 secs) and added second-place points in the shot (6.99m) and the high jump (1.05m). Reuben Reed won the B shot (6.46m) and recorded 2 mins 42.8 secs in the 800m as the under 13 boys recorded a category triumph. The 4x100m team finished in second.

Under 13 girls

ELLIE Boyson won the 800m in 2 mins 44.6 secs and added a second in the B shot.
Maria Hollingsworth was first in the 70m hurdles (12.1 secs), second in the long jump (3.89m) and fourth in the 150m (21.1 secs). Victories in the B high jump (1.15m) and the 70m hurdles (13.3 secs) came courtesy of Becky Locking.
She claimed a third in the 75m sprint (11.3 secs).
Ebony Bryan won the B 75m (11.9 secs) and was third in the shot putt (6.68m).
Karlie Wright secured three B victories in the 150m (21.6 secs), the 800m (3 mins 01.4 secs) and the long jump (3.63m).
The relay quartet recorded a second place.
