Wednesday, 8.55am - A CRAFTY finish from Jon Froggatt granted Boston United a 1-0 win over Sleaford Town.
The Pilgrims haven't been free-scoring at all in pre-season but Tommy Taylor's side are slowly beginning to click together, albeit under a lot of pressure from an attacking Sleaford side.
The deciding goal came in the 39th minute when Froggatt was granted space on the edge of the home side's penalty area.
With his weaker left foot he executed a neat chip which, despite keeper Ricky Drury getting his fingers to, dipped in at the far post.
Summer signing Ollie Ryan came close to opening his Pilgrims account when Drury tipped his header onto the crossbar.
At the other end keper Aaron Butcher had to be alert to stop the ball on the line as Liam Green almost converted into his own net.
United host Mansfield Town on Saturday (KO 3pm).
